Last year, our lab webatelier.net has been equipped with the Tobii Pro X2-60 (eye-tracker software and hardware).
A first study has been done on “Studying Online Contents Navigation: A Comparison Between Eye-Tracking Technique and Self-Reported Investigation“.
We are currently running a project on “Online consumer behaviour in the tourism field. A teenagers’ perspective”. More news to come.
In the meantime during this semester (Spring 2016) I have done a couple of guest lectures at USI (BA, Multimedia and new media applilcations; MA: Usability and Web Analytics) on this topic, covering the historical evolution of the eye-tracking technique, main characteristics, fields of application, tools, implications for usability studies, and for the online consumer behaviour research… and most importantly doing experiments and practical learning with students during class.
